Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn is Here!!!

(Disclaimer - I am a complete, unabashed Twilight Saga fan. While reading the following, stop frequently for the shrieks, squeals, etc. to truly appreciate the feeling behind this post.)

Breaking Dawn is here!!! *shriek* While this is undoubtedly one of the most exciting days of the year, it is always sad to finish off a beloved series. *sniffles* I know, I know. Midnight Sun is in the works, and while I am truly excited to read it, we know what happens to Bell, Edward, and Jacob.

Anyway, I LOVED the book! *I love you Stephenie Meyer!* A friend and I went to the Breaking Dawn concert in Chicago on the 5th. Justin Furstenfeld (Blue October) played several songs (including two new songs that won't be out until February - very good - can't wait). Stephenie also had a Q&A period and she signed everybody's book. She actually signed my copy of Breaking Dawn!! *shriek, squeal, shriek* Oh, wonderful day! Since I'm laying myself out on the chopping block here, I might as well confess it all. The two of us made shirts to wear (can you go to such an event without dressing up?). They were baseball jerseys with "Cullen Baseball" on the front and I had the number 17 with "Edward" above. *shriek* Not that any of that would mean anything to any of you. I know I'm a loser, but at least I'm a happy loser. Doesn't that count for something?

This picture does not do the set justice. It was really very pretty with the huge banners for each book lit up one by one with a very intense, direct spotlight. *squeal*

For anybody interested, don't forget that there are two more important dates this year for all Twilighters! December 12 is the release date for the Twilight movie and December 30 is the release date for the Twilight Saga Compendium!! *shriek*

I thought you would like to know that when I was at girl's camp in July, most of the girls and a lot of the leaders were always taking about this series. they were so excited to the new book and movie.
I think I am going to read them after I finish the books I already have bought.

I have been reading a series of books by Phillipia Gregory. The books are historical fiction of King Henry VIII era. My favorites are the Constant Princess and The Other Boelyn Girl. (I hated the movie - it is not at all like the book). I'm about finished with the series. the author has writen other series but I have never heard anyone talk about them. Has anyone read Wideacre, The Favoured Child, Menidon, Earhtly Joys, or Virgin Earth?

I haven't read the other series, but I have heard good things about them. Check it out on Shelfari.com.
